This mapping skill tutorial will

• Introduce beginner / intermediate level users to two mapping visualization tools
• Compare the visualizations created from Tableau and Google My Maps
• Explain how to select tools in direct consideration of your data

Participants for user testing were selected from an academic audience though the tutorial can also be useful to a more general audience as well.
